664 The Nuresery.jpg

This was the first time I have been able to photograph black bears nursing in the Sierra's. I see a lot of bears at Tahoe, where I live, but I don't get to spend a lot of time with them as they are usually moving around from one area to another. This day was different. A friend called me and said she had a mother and two cubs in her yard. I didn't rush over as I assumed the bears would be gone by the time I got there. When I did arrive they were still in the yard and remained there for another 45 minutes while I photographed them resting, playing, and nursing.. What a great day!
