The rain was intermittent as I hiked along the trail on the top of Mount Roberts hoping for a ray of sun. I was staying pretty dry with my hooded parka but my camera gear needed drying every few minutes. Thinking this was a lesson in futility I was about to head back down the mountain when that elusive ray appeared in the distance over the Chilkat Mountains. I attached a long lens, composed the image and took a few shots just before the clouds closed.
