503 Out of the Mist.jpg

As I wait at the edge of a pond the sun rises above the distant mountains basking the early morning with a warm glow. The crisp autumn air touches the water creating a temporary mist. I think I hear a familiar sound of the north country...the grunt of a bull moose in rut. Minutes pass as the sound draws near, but he does not appear. Later I photograph a magnificent specimen of America's largest deer, the moose.
