There are few areas where wildflowers can be included with a scenic of Lake Tahoe. This view on the west shore, looking toward Heavenly Valley, was recommended to me by a photographer friend, hence the title.
The red flowers are pentstemons called "Mountain Pride" and the yellow are buckwheat. I especially like the abundance of color in this photo. The blues of Lake Tahoe run the gamut from turquoise to deep blue and this image shows them all.
