After four and a half months photographing in Denali National Park my stay was coming to an end and so was the season. It was the first week of October and the moose rut was in full swing. Every day I would hike around mile 8 looking for moose in hopes of photographing their mating behavior. This young bull moose had been looking for a chance to mate with any cow that was willing, but, as with most mating seasons the larger more dominant males chase off the smaller ones. Sometimes, while two larger males are battling for the right to mate, a young bull will sneak in and mate with a cow. Perhaps this young bull will find his thrill 'on Blueberry Hill'.
